Made of lead free ballast and glass, these combined form thermo-hydrometers are 381mm (15") long and offer the additional convenience of an enclosed thermometer with a temperature scale of 0/150 degrees F and mercury-free blue spirit organic liquid fill. They are individually serialized and conform to the accuracy requirements for ASTM thermo-hydrometers. Specific gravity hydrometers are the most widely used hydrometer in industries such as food and beverage, chemistry, pharmacology, transportation, refrigeration and more. Choose from a wide range of models measuring specific gravity/relative density (g/cm3) of a variety of liquids in various ranges from 0.600 to 2.000. Temperature standardization is 60 degrees F (15 degrees C). DURAC Safety Combined Form Thermo-Hydrometers are hand inspected by our U.S. quality team in our exclusive triple accredited/registered ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and A2LA Accredited Calibration Laboratory; internationally recognized and accepted by the signatory economies of the ILAC /MRA and located in our ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System registered facility. They are packaged with a multi-language (English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish) Statement of Accuracy indicating accuracy traceable to NIST. Note: Combined form hydrometers should be stored in a clean, dry, safe place, and should not be subjected to extreme temperatures. Enclosed thermometers should be used as a general reference only. For temperature critical applications, a calibrated standard thermometer is recommended.

The American Educational 2325 specific gravity of minerals kit is used for geological study, and has 15 mineral specimens for calculating specific gravity, which describes the density of a mineral numerically. The kit is number coded and includes a key sheet for identification. The 2325 has a compartmented tray for display and storage, with specimens that measure 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 inches (L x W). (L is the horizontal distance from left to right; W is the horizontal distance from front to back.) Specimens in this kit may vary, based on availability at the time the product is packaged. The kit has directions for instructional use, and is suitable for grades 6 to 12 and ages 11 to 18.Science education products incorporate applied math and science principles into classroom and homeschool-based projects. Teachers in pre-K, elementary, and secondary classrooms use science education kits and products alongside science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) curriculum to demonstrate STEM concepts and real-world applications through hands-on activities. Science education projects include a broad range of activities, such as practical experiments in engineering, aeronautics, robotics, energy, chemistry, physics, biology, and geology.American Educational Products, LLC, manufactures and supplies classroom materials and teaching tools for science and math education, as well as early childhood and active play products. The Hydrometer is an instrument which is constructed on the Archimedes principle that a solid body displaces its own weight of the liquid in which it floats. Hydrometers can be divided into two general classes; namely for liquids heavier than water and for liquids lighter than water. The base hydrometer scale is Specific Gravity, in which distilled water equals 1.000 as the initial point. Liquids lighter than water are scaled below 1.000 specific gravity and liquids heavier than water are scaled above 1.000 specific gravity. Hydrometers are usually calibrated at 60°F/60°F. To determine the density of a liquid, the liquid should be at 60°F. If the temperature varies, the liquid will either contract or expand, depending upon the temperature. Where there is a variation from the standard 60°F, corrections must be applied to the hydrometer reading. To assure proper corrections, a separate accurate thermometer should be used, or a hydrometer in combination with a thermometer, which is sometimes referred to as a "thermohydrometer." Internal Revenue Size K Alcohol Hydrometer. 75-95% Proof Range, 0.2% Subdivision, ±0.3% Tolerance, 305mm Length
