This plastic tubing is made of Tygon formulation B-44-3 plastic and is for use in transferring beverages, including sodas, juices, teas, and water. The crystal clear tubing allows unobstructed visual monitoring of flow, and the Tygon formulation B-44-3 construction is flexible for installing in a variety of locations. A non-wetting and nonporous bore allows full drainage without absorbing or imparting flavors and odors to ensure fluid purity. The tubing's chemical resistance permits prolonged exposure to a range of chemical substances without cracking, swelling, or corrosion and also helps facilitate cleaning with many cleansers. The tubing has a working temperature range of -47 to 165 degrees F, a durometer (hardness) of 63A, and working pressure ratings that vary by tube size. This plastic tubing is rated as very flexible as it bends more easily than flexible or rigid tubing. It meets U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 21 CFR 175.300, National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) 51, and 3-A Sanitary Standards criteria for food and dairy contact for quality assurance. The plastic tubing is not designed for use as an implant material, but it is suitable for use in soft drink, juice, water, and tea dispensing, as well as printing, photo processing, metal finishing, and cosmetic production, among other applications.
