YSI pH1200 Laboratory pH Meter, 115-230V
The YSI pH1200 601200 is a benchtop pH, oxygen reduction potential (ORP)/mV, and temperature meter with manual temperature compensation, the capability for Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC), up to three-point automatic pH calibration, a multilevel LCD screen, an auto-lock mode, sensor efficiency check, and an Ingress Protection (IP) 65-rated housing. A pH meter is commonly used to measure the pH of substance such as water, food, beer, or wine in lab, industrial and food applications. An ORP meter, also known as a redox potential tester, is used to measure the oxidization or reduction capacity of a solution, and to monitor chemical reactions and ion activity. It is commonly used for water testing, pulp bleaching, and for biological sample analysis in swimming pools, cooling towers, waste water treatment, and industrial applications. The multilevel backlit LCD screen simultaneously shows the current measurement and the current temperature. An auto-lock mode holds stable readings on the display and sensor efficiency check helps ensure data integrity. The meter has manual temperature compensation or ATC for accurate readings in fluctuating temperatures. The meter has automatic buffer recognition for one-, two- or three-point calibration of US (4.01, 7.00, and 10.01) or National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) (4.00, 6.86, and 9.18) buffers for a wide range of results. The housing is Ingress Protection (IP) 65-rated for protection against solid objects including dust or liquids. The meter has a Bayonet Neill-Concelman (BNC) connector for a pH electrode and an eight-pin Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) connector for a temperature sensor. The power supply is four 1.5V C-size alkaline batteries (not included) or a 115/230VAC adapter (included). Specifications
H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back. A pH meter, also called a sensor or tester, is a device used to measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance. A pH meter has either a portable or a benchtop body. Many portable meters are handheld devices. Some testers have an internal sensor, and may have a tip and body that fit inside of a container for measurement. A meter is commonly used in many different environments from laboratories to field research and manufacturing facilities. Researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists use a pH meter in aquaculture, agricultural, wine-making, and water-testing, and for scientific applications. Some pH meters may measure additional parameters such as dissolved oxygen (DO), conductivity (also called electro-conductivity or EC), temperature, total dissolved solids (TDS), salinity, resistivity, or oxygen reduction potential (ORP)/mV. YSI manufactures instruments, sensors, and software for environmental water quality monitoring and testing. The company, founded in 1948, is headquartered in Yellow Springs, OH. What's in the Box?
