Units are simple to use - place at least 0.4 mL of sample on the surface of the prism, press READ, and the sample results are displayed in seconds. The meter instantly displays the measurement and temperature on the large, easy-to-read LCD. The sophisticated microprocessor provides automatic calibration, automatic temperature compensation, low-battery indicator, automatic shutoff (after three minutes) and visual hi/low alarms.
