The TPI 367D auto field-calibrated single-input K- and T-type thermocouple and thermistor digital thermometer is for use in food service and other commercial applications. When using a K-type thermocouple probe (not included), it measures temperature from -200 to 600 degrees C (-328 to 1112 degrees F). When using a T-type thermocouple probe (not included), it measures temperature from -200 to 400 degrees C (-328 to 752 degrees F). When using a thermistor probe (not included), it measures temperature from -50 to 150 degrees C (-58 to 302 degrees F). The thermometer has an accuracy of + or - 0.1% of the reading. The thermocouple sensor has a broader temperature measurement range than a thermistor sensor but provides lower accuracy. The thermistor sensor has a narrower temperature measurement range than a thermocouple sensor but provides higher accuracy. The meter accepts K-type thermocouple, T-type thermocouple, and thermistor probes with a Lumberg connection. It can be calibrated in an ice bath to help preserve measurement accuracy. The LCD screen shows the current temperature or the highest or lowest measurement value for the session. The operator can choose to display readings in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius. The thermometer also displays the time, has an alarm function, and alerts the operator when the measured temperature exceeds user pre-set high and low limits. The hold function keeps a reading on the display so it can be recorded, and the data logging feature allows readings to be stored in the thermometer's internal memory for future recall. The sample rate can be increased or decreased to suit the application. The thermometer's molded plastic body helps protect against bumps and abrasions. It has an ingress protection rating of IP67, meaning it is protected against dust and the effects of immersion up to 39" (1 m). A belt clip on the body of the thermometer can be attached to a belt or mounted to a wall for hands-free use. The thermometer operates on two AA batteries (included). To conserve battery life, the thermometer automatically turns off after 30 minutes of non-use. A low-battery indicator alerts the operator when the batteries need to be changed.

Digital thermometers are instruments used to measure the temperature of air, liquids, or surfaces electronically. They may measure temperature in Celsius, Fahrenheit, or both. Most digital thermometers use thermistors, which are small electronic resistors. Thermistors are made out of metals that conduct electricity within a certain range and become more conductive the warmer they get. A microcontroller inside the thermometer measures this electrical conductivity and converts it to a temperature, which is displayed on an LCD. Digital thermometers are used in a wide range of applications, including in laboratory settings, food service and storage, and in doctors' offices and hospitals.

Test Products International (TPI) manufactures test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, manometers, multimeters, and test leads. The company, founded in 1997, is headquartered in Beaverton, OR.
